Nicki is the Environment Manager at the Te Arawa Lakes Trust in Rotorua and is also the convenor of the Te Urunga o Kea - Te Arawa Climate Change Working Group. Nicki has worked in the conservation and environment sector for 18 years. Nicki has held both Operations and Strategic leadership roles in DOC and is most passionate about engaging people in the care and protection of the environment. Nicki is married to Eric Short (Ngāti Porou, Cook Islands) and they have four children, Rawiri, Manahi, Hinetaapora and Pokaihau.
